THE MINDSET THAT HELPED ME TRANSITION TO A PLANT BASED LIFESYTLE.

Initially I had such euphoria to know that I can heal with a plant based diet but as I mulled over that though my euphira began to dim away – how would I be able to leave my meat and milk and start to eat plain “boring plants.. ”

It was such a mind-shift to go to the unknown. Thankfully I have now crossed over to the known and WOW- its like a whole new beautiful world!

Below are some thoughts that have held me up in my journey to wellness and this has helped me walk with my clients because that unkown path is now known to me.

  1. Success is from small incremental progress.
  2. Treat food as medicine because in the future I may have to eat medicine as my food.
  3. It’s a lifestyle not a diet.
  4. If I fail its a win because I learn so I fail fast and forward.
  5. I am building an empowering identity with my daily actions.
  6. Food addiction is real, abstinence is bliss.
  7. All or nothing is not the goal. Perfectionism is not the goal. CONSISTENCY is.
  8. I don’t need to completely eliminate the food I love, I can modify it to a healthier version
  9. I eat to live not live to eat
  10. Support systems are critical in maintaining my health. If you want to go far, I will go with others who have been there before me.
